Description

Standing proud on the corner of 5th Street and Tesla Avenue, the Blue Komet corner store has been serving Brookhaven for over 60 years.

Mrs. Margarite keeps the store stocked with the essentials for day to day life, as well as a small shelf of candy by the front door for her younger customers. She absolutely adores children, and is now passing on the ownership of the store to her youngest daughter Alice who has decided to remain at Brookhaven.

When the Kulva arrived in Brookhaven 50 years ago, the Blue Komet was one of the first businesses that they offered ‘protection’ to. Mr. Margarite politely declined to pay and after multiple threats from the Kulva crime family, the store was broken into during normal business hours. Mr. and Mrs. Margarite repelled the attack using the shotgun and baseball bat that were kept underneath the store counter. Ever since that night, the Kulva have given the store and the Margarite's a wide berth.
